The Councillors of Featherstone and Brinsford Parish Council wish to invite all Harvest Grove residents to a Parish Council meeting at the Featherstone and Hilton Community Centre in Baneberry Drive, WV10 7AU.

Date of Meeting: Friday 3rd November 2023 at 7.00 p.m.

There is much to do to finish the work on Harvest Grove

  • Roads, Footpaths,
  • Safety & Lighting
  • Playground & Football Field (Who has access?)
  • Public Rights of Way & Encroachment onto Private Driveways
  • Improve Privacy with Planting of Trees and Shrubs
  • Review the Quality of the Changing Rooms.

What are your views?

As councillors we want to make sure that local people, groups, and businesses have their needs supported taking part in council activities and helping to make decisions on the services the Parish Council provide.

We would like to introduce ourselves, talk about the developments and long term management of Harvest Grove within Featherstone and Brinsford. You will also meet our local PCSO involved in crime prevention.

We have a responsibility for the wellbeing of our community to:

  • Deliver services
  • Improve quality of life for residents
  • Give everyone a voice

Come along to understand how the District Council and Parish Council work together to achieve this, who does what, how and when.

Visit the Featherstone and Hilton Community Centre at the heart of community. Find out about it's activities and hiring. The bar will be open (cash only) after the meeting and will be an opportunity for everyone to get together as neighbours.

So far we have met with the local MP Sir Gavin Williamson and have assurances of his help to expedite the road scheme from Brookhouse Lane, along Malayan Way to Featherstone Lane. We want to ensure the health and safety of pedestrians, drivers and manage traffic flow.

Working along with Vistry (Countryside Partnerships) we have the assistance of the Adoptions Manager to fully complete the site works to plans approved by our District Council.

As residents you will want to see the plans and know more about the highway changes linking the M6 and M54. Reducing traffic on access roads around the village we have worked on this project in consultation with residents and National Highways to meet the community's needs.

Save the date & Come and make a start in having your views represented.

Parish Councillor Janice Smith, 1 College Way, Harvest Grove, WV10 7FJ.
